Our sim week 1 has been posted.

Depth charts are unlocked. Please check your depth chart for the new season and make sure you have it set as you want it.

Week 1 is always the busiest, but we'll try to do our sim games as early as possible each week after the NFL games in order to keep depth charts unlocked as much as we can throughout the week to allow changes and trades in the early season. Things are currently busier than in the past, but will try to sim Wednesday night each week for the first half of the season. Once we get past the trade deadline, that doesn't matter as much with transactions more limited for the second half of the season.

Depth charts will be locked again Sunday morning once NFL games start. Players from Thursday night matchups will be locked in place once that game gets going, as team cannot change their depth chart here after the fact already knowing the results of player games. But you can make trades all week until Sunday mornings and update depth chart for all other players.

Any chance that an option can be added to the roster drop down menu 'check players above to' that would allow us to add practice squad players to the active roster on a league minimum contract?

There was some talk here about looking into adding a way to sign your practice squad guys to minimum deals and on my off-season list to check into, but there was a lot of complaints in some places about veterans on practice squads and teams taking unfair advantages of that or not understanding things and being upset, etc. Allowing a veteran to be added to your psquad and then signed to a contract with no bidding at all seems like it could present some unintended loopholes in certain situations that could really frustrate people and not be within intention, and we need to look at that situation more before implementing immediate signings without bids from practice squad possibly in the future.

Week 4 has been simmed. Busy week ahead, as we'll update grades now that we're past week 4 (Madden + PFF boosts), as well as adjust summer grades down of players who are no longer in the league until they're back in the NFL with grades again. We'll also have our first bye games this week. If you have a sim player on an NFL bye, they get an averaged game from NFL stats adjusted for injury status (bumped up one level from week 4).

Now that we're past week 4, grades have been adjusted.

- Madden grades have been updated.

- As we instituted in recent seasons, players with higher PFF grades get bonus points (max 1-3, lowest grades eligible for most bonus). 179 players were given bonus points for higher PFF grade. PFF grades were collected after week 4 prior to this weekend's games (grades may be different online now after they graded those games we haven't played yet). See data output below. Let me know if you believe a player wasn't updated as they should have been. We use the OFF and DEF grades for those for the PFF grades. Hybrid grades including a Madden baseline and any PFF extra points have been updated.

After 4 weeks, players who had grades in the summer but are no longer in the league (or no longer listed in Madden public grades) also have their grades knocked down 25% until they are back in the NFL and their grades updated again.

Week 6 has been simmed. Got it a little early this week as we approach the trade deadline so teams had more time with rosters unlocked. Last time to make a trade this season is Sunday 11/5 at 1pm ET after NFL's deadline earlier that week. Less than 3 weeks to deal.
