If there was an option to frontload a contract, i would be for more restructuring.

I'd agree that we should look at being able to front load deals.

The league was founded in trying to bring in real elements as much as we could.

I haven't heard of a lot of instances in reality where teams restructure a contract for the purposes of giving him a lot more today and much less later. I think it's usually the other way around in reality where teams restructure to free up some space now.

Maybe it happens more than I think. I know more NEW contracts might get front loaded in some cases (especially in that uncapped year that caused some issues), but don't know if I've seen cases where teams restructure existing contracts to pay more today.

It might also be that we see more of that ahead in the NFL as teams have to meet 4-year 89% cap spending, so maybe as the NFL goes along some teams restructure to spend a lot more in a present year instead.

I'm open to hearing more about it, if it's happening out there today in NFL. Definitely post some links or send me some articles, etc. I haven't looked for that a lot yet, but just don't recall cases like that. If so, and its is happening that's a bit of reality we'd also want represent and give our teams those options too. But if it almost never happens in reality and would just be something kind of fake for our fake situations, that moves us away from what I hoped to build. The focus is more seeing what's really happening and trying to make this simulation as realistic as we can.

There's a lot of instances where players will make... 7mil, 13mil, 6mil... etc.

Basically, the teams revolve the cap hits around the years they need it. While we can't do that, because it would get too complicated, I think some flexibility would make sense.

That's an issue of free agent signings not contract restructuring.

We'll keep restructurings at 2 again this year per league support, but fairly mixed opinions there and we can look at changes there if opinions change in the future.
