A couple of other updates...

- I plan on putting the draft stuff up as soon as tonight where teams can start loading up their draft queues and personal rankings. The suggestion to do Saturday 5/12 (by far most votes) and then starting round 2- on Monday seems to be very popular.

- In addition to no more tag/RFA bids after today, we'll also be removing all the UFAs from your team roster (and thus removing the team affiliation with unlimited bidding) this weekend, so if there is any UFA currently associated with your team you want to bring back and want to utilize unlimted bidding to do so, best to do that soon as well as all the UFAs will be unassociated with any team after this weekend.

- Teams can contact me about borrowing 3M against next year's cap as we did last year. I would like to get something automated up for that also in the near future. Now that no teams have to worry about matching offers or not, we'll start to focus on teams over their caps and how they intend on getting back under.

- I'll make some threads in each league about extensions for tagged players who didn't receive any bids, as we've usually done. The extensions will be similar to the exclusive tag options presented before free agency and similar in structure to the LTC options.

- Although the bulk of the big-name free agents (and tagging, RFAs, compensatory considerations, etc.) will be over soon, free agency will remain on always through the end of the regular season. We'll add any undrafted free agents from the college ranks after our sim drafts are completed.

- Practice squads won't come into play until right before the regular season months from now, where you can cut a rookie or eligible young player and send him to your practice squad if no other team claims them first. You can also put un-signed UFA rookies onto your practice squad from the free agency tool at that time before the NFL regular season.

Sounds great! One question: at the moment it seems like guys who are cut and don't have the 3 or 4 years service to become UFAs are just keeping their Waived status so that they can't be bid on. When will they become UFAs?

For example, this guy was cut on 22/4: http://www.fangm.com/football/player.ph ... fl&id=4229
Manager of AFFL NYJ and FFFL CLE since before the 2016 draft.

CFFL IND: Took control after 2011 draft, relinquished after winning 2013 and 2015 season SB.

If their status is still waived, the DB has them at a qualified level of low experience to potentially be claimed. I just need to catch up with processing those which I'll do tonight.

Cool, thanks. There's no hurry on my account, I was just wondering when it was going to happen.

Draft tools are up. Click the draft link in the top navigation. Still some work to do with uploading draft windows, real selections beyond the first round, adding overall number into trade tool, etc. Let me know if any problems. There may be a couple sequential gaps due to supplemental draft picks last year. For those new to the draft, we'll get into it more this upcoming week, but you can check into it and start to add some players to your draft rankings queue. It's important to have players in there, as if your pick is due and you aren't online to manually select the computer will pick for you based upon your draft queue rankings. If you have none in there when your pick is due, it will automatically select the highest undrafted player in our sim based upon NFL draft selection order. You can click the up or down arrows next to your picks on the right side to indicate to other teams if you are looking to move up or down from there. If any problems, let me know.

Hey Troy,
I know we discussed this before, so I was j/c if you were working on it, gave it anymore thought, or decided not to do it. I had mentioned putting a check box for GMs that knew for a fact they wouldn't be around for their pick. I know there will be certain days I won't be able to be here, and will set my queue accordingly. Instead of everyone waiting for my clock to run out, if I have a box checked, it'll just take the first player in my queue, and move to the next pick.

Would this be something that wouldn't be too hard to implement into the programming?

Simply put, if you weren't sure if you'd be around or not, you don't check the box. Its only for those who know they can't be here at the time of their pick being due.

It might be possible. I wonder if it would get us way ahead of schedule, though, to where we'd hit some really big waits.

With the time slots, we're destined to be "stuck" for awhile at times, but at least this would keep things going if one or two people had their box checked, and the rest of the picks in that vicinity were around. Ultimately, it probably won't make much difference at all, but I thought it would be a nice option to have.

I think that's a good idea Nut. Some leagues have a similar feature where if the player misses a pick, his team goes on autopick the next time around automatically.

One feature that I would maybe like to see in the future is an up and down arrow for the draft queue, entering all those numbers in to move people around is quite a chore. A "send player to bottom of list" option would be helpful too.
