Draft rule change for 2010
Draft rule change for 2010
"The draft order for playoff teams was reworked and will be based on where teams were eliminated in the postseason. Last season, the Chargers (8-8) beat the Colts (12-4) in a wild-card game, but San Diego will pick before Indianapolis in next month's draft. The new procedure begins in 2010."
Re: Draft rule change for 2010
I like this new rule. If you make it to the playoffs, your place in the draft should be based on that, not by regular season record.

The only thing I don't like about it was that I created an automated draft order tool based upon the OLD draft tie-breaker rules, but will keep that in mind for adjustments to it next year.ctnreds wrote:Yea I agree with you... I like the new rules the NFL are creating

When I was adding in the draft order for this year's event, it seemed like a couple problems with the generated results. Some were really off, so having to double-check and adjust those anyway. Also that playoff change mentioned above wasn't part of that system. So attempting to upload a corrected list and turn on the draft tool later today to view the final order details through all 7 rounds.
