We'll be adding some new GMs today. Something that could factor into the draft date being soon or early next week could be monitoring how many GMs have updated their draft queues (far right column on the directory).

We wouldn't want to start a draft if most of the league hadn't even gone in to update their draft rankings yet. If we don't get off to a strong start with people looking to be ready to go, might make more sense to go with a similarly popular choice a couple days later.

Even if you don't want to do much with rankings yet, at least put one guy in your queue so we can monitor who is actively ready to start drafting and has started using those tools.

I see that FA tags are on there. I am assuming that those are last years updates or did I miss something?

I voted for the 3rd option of starting the draft on Saturday. I don't think 2 days is enough time for people to see this and be ready to draft by Thursday. Allowing people to get on over the weekend and see when the draft is going to start or starting the draft on the weekend gives people enough time and allows us to fill all the empty spots. There's no need to hurry hurry on the draft. We have a whole summer to get stuff done so pushing the draft back 3-5 days isn't going to hurt.

Yeah, that's old from last year. The only new thing so far this year is the draft.
