Re: 2017 Season Update
Waiting like this could help soften the lull of inactivity we see after the playoffs, I wouldn't mind waiting until March. Teams that are out can stay active instead of being frozen for two months.
That's just my opinion, enjoy the Super Bowl everyone. As a Bills fan, I know who I'm pulling for but as a football fan... it's hard not to respect the hell out of what NE has been able to accomplish at such a high level.

Soon. Had a couple of things the past few weeks and getting ready for playoffs takes a bit, but should be able to get ours going this week. Thanks for patience.jmdaz44 wrote:Any idea when we will start on the playoffs?

Re: 2017 Season Update
Sorry, every time I sat down to do the playoffs something came up. Had a huge new work project that just finished up and launched new site this week (whew), management at my work changing up with some uncertainty there, had to fix then replace a car, some appliance problems, sim baseball league free agency/drafts, new side projects started up, obsessive cryptocurrency habit, etc.
Every year I think about ways to make the playoffs easier, as it's my least favorite time of the season here. Lots of work with averages, multi-game considerations, real life game inputs, tracking individual players and how many real/averaged games, etc. I do think we're doing it right, but just have to make it easier to operate ahead. On top of that amount of detail required in prepping the playoff games and high level of complete focus to not miss something before simming games, most of these matchups are between good teams, and if I ran 10 sims between them they might split them 50/50, so a lot riding on the games but often could go either way with good teams. So a lot involved in coin flip matchups that makes getting the playoffs started a difficult hurdle for me to get over sometimes, but got over it and let's plow through these playoffs now.
That's lots of excuses, sorry for that. Will try to do better and knock these playoffs out. But after a little break here, we'll get our momentum going again into rules discussions, free agency and the draft. Thank you for your patience.
