ROSTER BONUSES

Post by Goodell »

Ulrich82 wrote:Oops, right. I think I was thinking roster bonuses which used to lock on June 1. Is this still the case?
Yes, I should remind people of that also.

If you have a player on your team that has a Roster Bonus (RB), those are paid on June 1st. After June 1st, whether you cut the player or trade the player, you are stuck with that roster bonus amount no matter what. So if you're uncertain about your love for a player on your team with a roster bonus, you may want to make a decision on them before June 1st to avoid the roster bonus.

Re: Free Agency Reminders

Goodell wrote:Some things change after peak free agency is over, and after June 1st free agency becomes much more secretive for the rest of the season to reward teams that do their research on training camp gems instead of just cherry-picking other team bids.
Now that we're after June 1st, I've updated the free agency tools for the rest of the off-season and regular season now.

They go away after a certain period. This prevents GMs from just using the signing soon feature to steal free agents from GMs who actually went and did the research. If you click on a free agent that you are interested in, then it will let you know if he has a current bid. So basically it's blind bidding, but the free agent still has to go 24 hrs without a competing bid to sign. GMs just won't see he has a bid unless they have interest in him as well.

Any chance the SIGNED tab makes a come back? Just asking because guys don't show up on roster until you go look at his FA page after signing, sometimes guys aren't bookmarked and get lost in the shuffle. Unless the guys just get added after a certain amount of time? Don't really know.

But love the signing soon and most recent tabs being gone, makes it so much easier to actually sign the guys targeted.

I think you just need to refresh your browser on your team page to bypass that? Not 100% certain, though.

I access a page in my admin tools where I can mark guys who have been over 24 hours to be signed to their teams.

I'll be away on a family vacation but hope to check in periodically this week. Thanks

Not in any way implying a rush, I simply can't remember...
