Open Teams - New GMs for 2011

Post by Goodell »

Current openings will always be listed if you click "openings" in the top navigation or go here:
http://www.fangm.com/openings.php

There are a handful of spots to fill headed into 2011. I'll update here as teams become open and filled this season. Hopefully there will be some fresh new faces entering the mix, so get to know some of the new players.

Taking over the Steelers in the DFFL is bigchip. He's been on the wait list since October last year.

Could be more openings to come as we get closer to the draft and some GMs don't show.

We don't tend to have a lot of AFFL changes, but Alex hasn't signed on since Sun Nov 07, 2010, and PMs not responded and emails bounced. So taking over the Browns in the AFFL, at least for now, is Chad55.

Lots of GMs have contacted me about an additional team, and so far this off-season I've only given the openings to the new GMs without any team. I have a list of all those interested in another team still. Our first league, AFFL, has had less turnover than the other leagues and new candidates for that league especially might lean more toward established players stepping up. Chad was one of the longest on the list of existing GMs wanting another team for while, only had one team, has shown success/activity, and turned down a couple other offerings for teams the last few times we filled spots expressing a willingness to give those to other GMs and wait for an AFFL team.

I have one more offer out there that hopefully will be accepted tomorrow. We may yet still have some openings depending upon how the draft goes. We've replaced GMs during the draft if needed to ensure active leagues, so more changes could still come. Thanks
