The Tebow Effect
The Tebow Effect
In the NFL the Jets are talking about using Tim Tebow in certain wildcat packages. Depending on how the offense is built in Oakland I have seen a few rumors that Terrell Pryor could be used in a similar but smaller role. Is there a way that this could affect our FanGM system? For example GB in the DFFL has Tony Romo as the starter and Tebow as his backup. Is there a way to make it possible when setting the depth chart to say that Tebow plays 5, 10, 15, 20, or even as high as 25% of the offensive snaps at QB so that you can have his stats and figures translate over into the simulation as well just like in the real NFL? Just curious I guess..

Re: The Tebow Effect
Will take a little adjusting, but the aim would be to get more players involved that way. One forum topic this off-season was bringing in more players who aren't necessarily on the small depth chart but had stats. Other contributors would be aimed to be worked in to give our results more realistic.tino38 wrote:In the NFL the Jets are talking about using Tim Tebow in certain wildcat packages. Okay I didnt know if there was a plan of action for this or what would be the course. I was reading about some of the different Tebow rumors and it got me interested

Re: The Tebow Effect
Is there a way to set up RB's to actually be able to make passes?
(just like QB's can make runs?)
Then, you could actually start Tebow as a backup RB, and maybe get some sort of "wildcat" out of him.

Re: The Tebow Effect
Something like that could work as well. I mean it just wouldn't seem fair if you have Tebow or guys like him not to be able to use him. On average teams run about 60-70 plays per game on offense. The Jets have gone out to say that there are games where Tebow could play as many as 20 snaps in a game. Thats nearly 33% which is why I am so curious on this.

Re: The Tebow Effect
I'm pretty sure I got credit for some of Tebow's runs last year in the CFFL when he was listed as a backup QB.

As a side effect of the Tebow Effect, your team will play 60% worse for the first 3.5 quarters, and then slightly better than normal for the final few mins of the game
