Re: 2017 Off-Season Update
Two points: 1.) Troy, in one of your previous posts you mention that teams have ways of getting around this, mostly by offering more guaranteed money on the salary side. This year, NE gave Harvey Langi a $15k signing bonus and guaranteed $100k of his salary. Let's be clear, for us, that is equivalen...

Re: 2017 Off-Season Update
It certainly does prioritize the first one to make an offer. By the time I got on the site this morning, there were players already essentially priced out because the threshold to increase their bid was too high. Goodluck to anyone playing from a different time zone that can't get their bids in with...

Re: 2017 Off-Season Update
This is broken. If someone has a SB offer at $30k, you can't beat it without offering $50k. I think that's smart for free agency, but when we have a small cap of $100k for UDFA, $20k is a HUGE increase. There should be a minimum increase required like $5k or maybe a 20% increase so: $1k --> $1.2k $5...

Re: 2017 Off-Season Update
Also, what happens when I reach my limit? Can I not make any more bids? What if I am outbid on someone I had offered a 15k signing bonus to? I may have lost out on another signing and not have actually reached my cap because of a previous unsuccessful bid.

Re: 2017 Off-Season Update
Hrm.... I would not voted in favor of this if that were what was presented. We voted on capping signing bonuses. If that was not working well, we should have scrapped it for this year and reconsidered. I think this is a step backward for the game. This is not something I ever viewed as a significant...

Re: 2016 Off-Season Update
Oops, right. I think I was thinking roster bonuses which used to lock on June 1. Is this still the case?

Re: 2016 Off-Season Update
When do veteran salaries become guaranteed? I thought I remember that happening on June 1 in the past, but we are slightly behind this year.

Veteran Salary minimum not working
Several veterans are getting 1 try $450,000 deals. For example, Weeden, Kerley, and McDonald in the CFFL.

Re: 2016 RULES: Free Agency Adjustments
That sounds like a better approach to me. I understand the concept, and I am for it. The numbers just seemed high. I think higher SB makes sense. It forced the signing team to take on more risk on long term deals. And if players are going to take long deals, those deals would usually favor high guar...
