Re: 2023 Off-Season Update
If I franchise tag a player, then sign him to a long term contract, does that use one of my two LTCs for the year?

Re: Supplemental Draft: 2018
On review it seems that in my email I bid a 3rd round for CFFL CLE when I am in fact FFFL CLE. Apologies for the confusion.

Re: 2018 Off-Season Update
Thanks Commish.
I note that when one goes to add a player to the draft queue, sorting by 'Top 50 available' doesn't seem to be working yet.

Re: 2019 RULES: Sign and Trade
So what did you vote for - keep the same, i.e. the “real” rules of the NFL. Or with the majority here to try to limit creativity and hope that it resembles less trading like the “real” NFL. I am not sure what “more realistic” means here. I don't think the people who want change want it for the sake...

Re: 2019 RULES: Sign and Trade
And how many of those teams have multiple first round picks compared to here...how many have multiple picks in any round compared to here....picks are traded so much more here than IRL it isn't even funny. This is for fun, not to limit people and take the fun out of the GAME... I don't see the logi...

Re: 2019 RULES: Sign and Trade
Yeah and there would be nowhere near as many trades irl as there are here either so if we want to make that more realistic then what teams only get 1-2 trades a year. I mean that would only be more realistic. No it wouldn't. Consider the list of trades involving players (ie, not including straight ...

Re: 2018 Off-Season Update
I think if a deal is less than the tender amount but a longer term, with some guaranteed, then it’s entirely feasible that an RFA would agree to the offer. Example: A - $2.9 million tender for one year, $0 guaranteed. B - 3 year deal, $1,000,000 salary with $1,000,000 signing bonus. If I were the a...

Re: 2018 Off-Season Update
By definition a player who is eligible for RFA has only been in the league for 3 years, so (unless he's Brandon Weeden) will be young. Young usually = still possessed of upside, or at worst not yet degrading. So far as I can recall, terrible players don't usually get tendered - if they were that bad...

Re: 2018 Off-Season Update
Agreed. I find it hard to see a circumstance where a player would sign an offer sheet that would net him less than the tender amount.

Re: 2019 RULES: Sign and Trade
I think a lot of people are voting for 1-year NTC as a placeholder but would prefer:
1. 1-year NTC if signing bonus over 10/15/etc million; or
2. 1-year NTC if SB is more than 50/60/etc % of total deal.
Edit: in case it's not clear, numbers above are purely for example.
