Team Openings 2013

I've been in contact with GMs on the wait list. There are already at least a couple of openings. If you don't think you'll be back next year or don't have time to manage multiple teams anymore, contact me so we can get everyone in place prior to our off-season. Thanks!

I agree it would be nice to start discussing off-season items also, thought we were going to be doing this last week?

Tino38 and strategist have been added to open spots in the AFFL. Some have asked questions about that, but essentially I submitted the names of GMs who contacted me with interest during the request earlier this off-season to get feedback from the other AFFL gms. Of those with the highest league support, I contacted further to work out the details. In this case this year with so many new GMs awaiting spots, we asked the GMs with the most support from their peers if they'd be willing to give up a team in another league to allow us to give opportunities to new players. Two new openings created with the two new AFFLers added.

I penciled in a lot of possible plans for the dozen or so guys I've been speaking with on the wait list, and will be contacting them with their opening possibility tonight to have those openings settled early this week. Thanks

Add DFFL Falcons to the list, I dont want to run that many teams again this year. Need to focus better on main team.

I contacted a dozen potential new GMs last night with a suggested spot for them as I try to piece everything together for team openings. Not easy, especially if 5 people all put they want the exact same team, which is why I asked them for a list of multiple top preferences and that I'd try to work something out if possible to get a team within that list if doable. There are also some at-risk teams that I'm more hesitant to rip someone's team away from them than others, depending upon how long they've been here and their previous track record, still giving them a little time to check in before free agency in early April.

I can announce four more teams filled now based upon agreeable responses to my offers last night. More should be coming today, pending further discussion with some of the new players. All of these teams were OPEN except for one, and the one at-risk involved a GM who hadn't signed in since October of last year. BrianMac is back with more time now, after being an original AFFL and multi-team owner in the past.
