Trade Deadline

Post by chiefbrody »

Will our deadline also be moved to week 8 to mirror the NFL deadline?

I don't see why we wouldn't we almost always have it a week later or so anyways.

It will be similar to the NFL trade deadline, slighly delayed because we run our games after the NFL games. I believe we usually set it something like the following Sunday as depth charts get locked prior to that upcoming NFL week. So right around that same time but the end of that same week outside of other circumstances.

Don't hold your breath on this. I just read last week that the NFLPA has to sign off on the rule change. It sounds like the NFL thought it would be a done deal, but the NFLPA is dragging their feet and asking for something in return to agree to the trade deadline change. Maybe it is posturing, but the NFL and NFLPA seem intent on doing anything they can to mess with the other right now.

Thanks. Whatever happens, ours would most likely be set slightly delayed from whatever the real NFL trade deadline ends up being.
