Unless the qb isn't starting. Then their rating means everything.
And I strongly disagree with you about MH's rating falling off a cliff just bc Locker is ready to play now. It's not like there's a madden rule against having two good QBs. And it's also not a knock on Hasselbeck necessarily bc I think Locker is pretty good. I could be completely wrong though, lol. My guy might be a 56 before the end of the season. Either way, it's great to have some discussion & debate going on here in the forum. I am SO excited about this season!

No offense, but anyone banking their season on Matt Hasselbeck (or someone worse) is probably in for a rough season.
Not saying he's terrible, but clearly nothing special either. I hope for your sake, your running game, and defense are top notch.

My backup is an 84 (Jason Campbell) and I can't trade him for a box of crap filled stale donuts.
If Hasselback is your main guy and he doesn't earn the starting job, sounds like you may need trade for someone.

Your backup is better than my current starting QB (Dalton), but I'm in full rebuild mode anyways, and expectations are low.
I hear ya though.

Thank you for squashing my hopes & dreams Nut. For the record, the 49ers did go 16-0 with Hasselbeck last season under center. It's not like he was giving me Aaron Rodgers-like updates then either, so maybe we can string together a few wins until Russel Wilson takes Flynn's job in Seattle.
