Yeah some of the grades are head scratchers, not really sure how Vinatieri gets a C+ but i am sure there are lot of those out there that people are like...WTF

The botching of grades seemed to be more of a norm this season, as I have 7 players who had really solid stats but took significant hits on their grades. Hopefully the first few grade updates will start correcting some of that, or it might just be something we all have to get used to seeing. I do think it will drive up prices come FA though, except who knows what next year's grades have in store. At least we are all on the same page, so in the end it's fair for the most part.

I believe its fair, madden is just trying to do what we were looking for. Which is to have the superstars standout a little more.

FYI...

Apparently there was an update when the game was released but it seems to have been mostly roster/depth chart changes and some minor tweaks to secondary stats. There should be another update in the next couple of days once all the first week's preseason games are complete. Hopefully it will contain some overall ratings updates, and hopefully someone will post a list of the changes on the web like they did last year.

Update #2

I found a site that has the information from the update that was released at midnight last night. I haven't found any details released by Madden officially, but this seems to follow what they often released last year (minor adjustments) and the site seems reliable. Here's the link: http://www.pastapadre.com/10031/madden- ... -2-details

EDIT: EA has posted the update details on their blog: http://insideblog.easports.com/archive/ ... lable.aspx

I forgot to mention the ratings that are listed for Favre and Vick:
Brett Favre - 82 OVR
Michael Vick - 73 OVR

And the changes in ratings (I've cut out the transaction details, which is the bulk of the update):

Chris Simms – 70 OVR (was 68)….+2
Kyle Orton – 73 OVR (was 74)….-1
David Harris – 79 OVR (was 74)….+5
Aaron Brown – 67 OVR (was 64)…+3
Haloti Ngata – 92 OVR (was 90)…+2
Kelly Gregg – 83 OVR (was 77)…+6…(Gregg recently named Top 10 Overall DT in NFL according to Scouts Inc. – #8 overall.)
Darren Sproles – 83 OVR (was 85)….-2
Leon Washington – 80 OVR (was 79)….+1
Ryan Harris – 85 OVR (was 74)…+11…severely underrated OL, Denver actually ranked as #3 and #1 against the run and pass.
Ben Hamilton – 85 OVR (was 81)…+4…also a big part of that #3 overall Denver OL in 2008
Ryan Clady – 91 OVR (was 90)…+1…see above…some already call him #1 LT in NFL

Anyone find anything of FA ratings? I know they had them out last year but I haven't been able to find anything yet.

Are we going to use these to update the grades for everyone with 0 but are on the list?
