"The draft order for playoff teams was reworked and will be based on where teams were eliminated in the postseason. Last season, the Chargers (8-8) beat the Colts (12-4) in a wild-card game, but San Diego will pick before Indianapolis in next month's draft. The new procedure begins in 2010."

I like this new rule. If you make it to the playoffs, your place in the draft should be based on that, not by regular season record.

The only thing I don't like about it was that I created an automated draft order tool based upon the OLD draft tie-breaker rules, but will keep that in mind for adjustments to it next year.

When I was adding in the draft order for this year's event, it seemed like a couple problems with the generated results. Some were really off, so having to double-check and adjust those anyway. Also that playoff change mentioned above wasn't part of that system. So attempting to upload a corrected list and turn on the draft tool later today to view the final order details through all 7 rounds.

Status - Draft picks
Non-playoff teams 1–20
Eliminated in Wild Card round 21–24
Eliminated in Divisional round 25–28
Eliminated in Conference Championships 29–30
Super Bowl losing team 31
Super Bowl champion 32
