I also am not a fan, the idea with the FA bids is that: "Bids for your OWN players do not count against you". I think it would be unrealistic and unnecessary to create a situation where a team has an advantage over others with respect to a player(s) that has been cut by the team. If a player is cut then you give up any rights to the player (unless it is to get them on your practice squag ONLY after they have cleared waivers of course). Anything else would just be nonsensical in my opinion.
